The LORD says, "I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
I will advise you and watch over you.

Do not be like a senseless horse or mule
that needs a bit and bridle to keep it under control."

Many sorrows come to the wicked,
but unfailing love surrounds those who trust the LORD.

So rejoice in the LORD and be glad, all you who obey him!
Shout for joy, all you whose hearts are pure!

Psalm 32:8-11

God reminded me of this verse this week. It is a beautiful promise that I needed to be reminded of.

I will thank you, LORD, with all my heart;
I will tell of all the marvelous things you have done.

I will be filled with joy because of you.
I will sing praises to your name, O Most High.
-Psalm 9:1-2

Finishing is better than starting. Patience is better than pride.

Don't be quick-tempered, for anger is the friend of fools.

Don't long for "the good old days," for you don't know whether they were any better than today.

Being wise is as good as being rich; in fact, it is better. 12Wisdom or money can get you almost anything, but it's important to know that only wisdom can save your life.

Notice the way God does things; then fall into line. Don't fight the ways of God, for who can straighten out what he has made crooked? -Eccliesiastes 7:8-13

I read these this morning and they made me think, especially the first and last one. I am reminded of when when Paul told us to run with race with endurance. God wants us to finish strong. And God is God. It is my job to follow Him, not to ask Him to come with me.

"As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received."
Ephesians 4:1

This verse has been repeating over and over in my mind, as well as questions. What calling have I recieved? What does a life that is being lived in a worthy manner look like? Am I living my life like that? Paul, as a prisoner for the Lord, is urging us not to waste our lives.
